Greetings DM3 fans!

Just a few updates to share with you.  We are still working on our CD(s).  Drew finished up 2 more bass tracks last week and we expect to do the same this week.  We have some more drum tracks to record also.  No worries...it's a process and we are continuing to move forward.

This Friday (the 18th) we are back at the Aurora Cafe in Mechanicsburg (see our calendar for details.)  There is no cover (though donations are always appreciated) and we start around 7PM.  If you are in the area please stop by.  It not only helps us but helps a good cause as well...(see the link.)

The Dark Matter Trio, Wednesday, June 2, 5:30 - ? at Appalachian Brewing Company www.abcbrew.com, 50 North Cameron Street, Harrisburg.

DM3 will be playing a special benefit gig to help raise money for Leadership Harrisburg Area scholarships.
LHA engages, develops and mobilizes a diverse group of skilled leaders to shape our region's future, strengthen our communities and enhance the organizations they serve.

Drink and food specials, a shot bar and all the DM3 you can handle.

Stop by ABC for a great brew, a great beer and a great band.

We are taking a short break from recording while we rehearse some old and new material for our upcoming show at ABC in June.  The show is part of The Best Class Celebrity Bartender Fundraiser on June 2nd.  We go on at 5:30.  More details will follow shortly.

As for our recording progress, we have the drum tracks done on 8 songs and the bass done on 3.  I haven't started working on guitar tracks yet but I will begin recording those shortly.

Besides our show at ABC on June 2nd, we will also be returning to the Aurora Cafe on June 18th.  Keep an eye on our calendar for more updates!

Another good time at the Aurora Cafe.  Mindy Meyers and crew have a great place that more musicians need to take advantage of.  They have their own PA (a Bose system!!!) or you can bring your own.  Coffee and drinks are free and they have WIFI available too!  Give Mindy a shout at her ReverbNation page if you're interested or know someone who might be.  It's a great little cozy place to play!  Look for our return there in the not so distant future!

Just wanted to drop a few lines about our first gig last night at Lounge 2wenty Thre3 located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 23 South 2nd Street in Harrisburg.  We had a great time!  It's a really nice room to play and the staff were really friendly and helpful to us.  We are hoping that we get a chance to return in the future.  We didn't have a huge crowd but the people who were there seemed to enjoy what we were doing.  If you are in the area please check out 2wenty Thre3.  They have great food and a comfortable atmosphere.
